Yankee Cup Stack Video: Watch the Funny Game Within the Game

There’s a Yankee cup stack video making it’s way across the sports world today, after one particular Bronx Bomber fan got bored during a game earlier this week.
Baseball games are long affairs, and New York Yankees games are typically among the longest in Major League Baseball, and not every fan is riveted to the action on the field, particularly during long pauses in the game.
But, when an unsuspecting fan fell asleep in section 231, another fan decided to make him the focal point of one of the most clever games within the game in fan history.
The bored fan began stacking empty plastic cups on the slumbering man in front of him, and his hat seemed the perfect surface to do it. He reached three cups, before other fans around the section began to take notice of the game, and started cheering his impressive feat.
However, the collective exhaling of breath seemed enough to cause the tower to tumble, much to the chagrin of the now riveted crowd.
They began calling for an encore performance, and the fan gladly obliged them, quickly re-enacting his previous triumph. But, at the behest of the adoring crowd, he grew too cocky, and risked a fourth cup. The move proved his undoing, as the tower quickly fell, a victim of its unsteady base.
In the end, the plastic cup gauntlet had been thrown down, and on the Youtube page, an ultimatum issued.
Who will step forward to topple this pioneer’s mark of three cups atop a sleeping fan’s head? Can the record even be approached? Given the length of Yankee games, something tells me we’ll find out.
