It looked for a while like starting pitching was going to be a major strength for the New York Yankees in 2012, but things haven’t exactly gone according to plan for the Bombers.
Michael Pineda is out for the year with a shoulder injury. Freddy Garcia has been moved to the bullpen due to ineffectiveness. Phil Hughes may be the next to go to the bullpen.
It’s still very early in the season, but the Yankees find themselves desperately in need of another starting pitcher.

However, nobody should get their hopes up too high for Pettitte. I explain why in the video, and I also give my two cents about what kind of pitcher the Yankees are going to have on their hands once Pettitte returns.
