It’s a sad day for Yankee fans when their captain can no longer be an everyday starter.
Derek Jeter’s starting to act his age, and he can’t fight off Father Time forever. His bat started to slip last season, and his defense (while never truly stellar) is on the decline.
Sure, he had an amazing second half, but that first half, and 2010, is in the back of everyone’s mind.
