By now, we’ve all heard the news of Mark Teixeira’s latest injury.

According to Andy McCullough of the Newark Star-Ledger, the Yankees first basemen will miss eight to 10 weeks with a strained wrist.

Teixeira’s injury is just the latest in a long line, with the Yankees having been hit hard this spring.

Alex Rodriguez was already going to be out until July while recovering from hip surgery and Curtis Granderson suffered a broken forearm and is also out for eight to 10 weeks.

Meanwhile, Derek Jeter is trying to recover from the broken ankle he suffered back in October.

The Yankees offense is not looking too good right now.

With Teixeira’s injury, the team not only loses a home-run threat, but a Gold Glove-caliber fielder as well.

According to Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News, the Yankees will look for alternatives to put at either first or third base, given that the team does have Kevin Youkilis on the roster who can play both.

Let’s explore what options the Bombers have as far as a temporary replacement goes.
