Alex Rodriguez made his season debut for the New York Yankees on the same day it was announced he faced a suspension through the 2014 season for his involvement in the Biogenesis performance-enhancing drug scandal.
Rodriguez will appeal the suspension and thus was allowed to suit up and bat cleanup for the Yanks, going 1-4 on the night. Scroll down for updates from throughout the game.
