New York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner suffered a strained left oblique early on in Thursday’s win over the Baltimore Orioles, according to CBS Sports’ Dayn Perry.
Gardner is scheduled to undergo an MRI test on his oblique Friday, per CBS New York, in order to find out the severity of the injury and how long he could be out for. The Newark Star-Ledger‘s Andy McCullough notes that an oblique strain typically requires about a month of recovery time:
An oblique strain takes a month to recover from, usually. Might put Brett Gardner on ice for a while.
