Major League Baseball’s All-Star teams are set and ready to take the field at Citi Field in Flushing, N.Y., on Tuesday. While some of the players are veterans with a wealth of experience, others are first-timers who have never been a part of such an event.
The 2013 season has seen an incredible amount of players over the age of 35 who are stepping up and rejuvenating their careers. While some have made the All-Star team this season and others have not, what they have accomplished is still impressive considering their age.
There are players who are looking to join elite company with their season-long power surge while others are lowering the curtain on their baseball careers with a first half that includes 30 saves.
