The Yankees won a easy one after a seven-run seventh inning. Emergency starter Dustin Moseley pitched pretty well before that, holding the Yankees to a 3-1 lead through six innings. The final score was 11-4 .
Here are some notes:
- Moseley pitched well enough to earn himself another start : 6 IP, 1 ER, 2 BB, 4 SO.
- The game was such a laugher that Marcus Thames played third base and Nick Swisher struck out against a third baseman .
- The biggest embarrassment on the night: Chan Ho Park . Mark Melancon can’t be worse than Park, right?
- Jorge Posada didn’t play last night because of a cyst on the back of his knee. He thinks he can play at least two games behind the plate this weekend.
- Alfredo Aceves threw a bullpen yesterday. They actually think he could pitch in some rehab games by next week.
- Nick Johnson has begun baseball related activities . He’s been taking fielding practice and has even swung a couple of bats.
- David Adams hasn’t been out for over two months with a sprained foot, it’s actually broken.
- The Yankees have agreed to sign their fifth round draft pick , RHP Tommy Kahnle.
- I mean seriously, the Yankees have guys in the minor leagues who can’t be worse than Park. Why not DFA him already and call some of them up? Hello Melancon, Jonathan Albaladejo , Ivan Nova ?
