The Yankees have announced the official name for the college football bowl game that will be played at Yankee Stadium this year.
New Era Cap Company, Inc. has signed a four-year deal to be the title sponsor for the game that will now be known as the New Era Pinstripe Bowl.
The name is a combination of the company and the famous pinstripes the Yankees wear on their home uniforms.
The game has been scheduled for December 30, 2010 at Yankee Stadium.
ESPN will televise the contest between the Big East No. 3 team and the Big 12 No. 6 team. ESPN Radio has also secured rights to the game.
