On Friday night, the Mets were able to get to Andy Pettitte early, scoring five runs in the first inning. The Yankees fought back late, but the Mets held onto a 6-4 win in Game 1.
In Game 2, the Mets had a 3-0 lead behind Chris Young, but Raul Ibanez changed that in the seventh inning, tying the game with a three-run home run to make it 3-3.
